Insurance Receipts and Coverage

I am a member of the ANN and give receipts for naturopathy. This category has coverage on most insurance plans. Please check with your provider to confirm your coverage.

Receipts for Tax purposes

In Quebec, naturopathy is recognized as an admissible health expense for tax purposes. Since I am a certified naturopath, you may be able to use receipts from our sessions as health expenses on your provincial tax return. Note that you can only claim amounts not reimbursed by an insurance provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Should I Wear?

Sessions are conducted fully clothed, so it’s important to wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing that allows for easy movement. Direct skin contact is not required, as the adjustments and myofascial release techniques are effective through clothing.

Is your home studio cat-free?

While my cat won’t be in the room during our sessions, please note that I do have a cat at home. If you are highly sensitive to cat allergens, this might be something to consider before booking. Feel free to contact me with any questions!

How many sessions are needed?

Traditionally, the Alexander Technique is taught over a series of 10 sessions, ideally spaced weekly. This frequency helps integrate the principles into your daily life effectively. That said, even after just one session, you’ll leave with tools to begin making meaningful changes. Remember, deeply ingrained habits take time to change, but every step forward counts!

How do I pay for my session?

Payments can be made in cash or via Interac e-transfer, up to 24 hours after the session.

Is your space accessible for those with disabilities?

My home studio is located on the ground floor, there are 3 steps leading to the entrance, making it unfortunately non-accessible for wheelchair users. Street parking is available nearby, and the studio is conveniently located just 40 meters from bus stops for the 58 and 108 bus lines. Please contact me if mobility is in an issue to explore at-home sessions.

Do you offer sliding scale pricing?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to make sessions more accessible. Please contact me for more information!

Testimonials

“Working with Justin was so nourishing for me and my body! As someone who deals with chronic pain and has tried a lot of different modalities, it was so refreshing to do Alexander Technique. With Justin’s sweet, welcoming energy we created so much more space and length in my body that slowly but surely empowered me to stand taller and form a different relationship with my pain. Justin is extremely knowledgeable about the body and was ready to answer any question I had—I learned a lot in our time together! He held such beautiful space for me and my body, I’m grateful for our sessions and for getting introduce to the Alexander Technique!”

Bry

“After an intense and stressful semester, I woke up in severe back pain and could barely walk. Justin’s hands-on, collaborative approach helped me release the tension causing the pain. By the next day, I could walk normally, and within a week, my back was fully healed. I highly recommend working with Justin!”

Rena

“Justin is an incredible practitioner, offering a warm and attuned presence from the very start of the session. His guidance throughout helped me to stay engaged with the AT principles and I felt like it was a collaborative interaction each time. I relate differently to my body habits since our work together and apply the learnings to support me in my other movement modalities. I highly recommend booking a session with Justin!”

Claire

“I had sessions with Justin for a year. Justin taught me how to recognize the tension held in my upper and lower limbs. Thanks to the sessions, I can now identify when I need to stop doing what causes these tensions. Thank you for these sessions.”
